That is why Toekies organizes creative sessions for refugee children in the theme “Dare to Dream”. They draw their dreams. We transform them into bright colourful socks.

Studenten uit Utrecht brengen toekomstdromen van gevluchte kinderen tot leven op sokken | DUIC

De Utrechtse studenten Hanna, Karin, Constanze, Matthijs en Nagaarzhuna hadden als kind grote dromen, maar beseffen dat dit niet vanzelfsprekend is voor ieder kind. Daarom vragen ze vluchtelingenkinderen hun droomtoekomst te tekenen, om die vervolgens ‘tot leven’ te brengen via een sok. “Iedereen draagt ze, van scholier tot advocaat”

Op 13 juni in de Koninklijke Jaarbeurs presenteerden studententeams uit het hele land hun oplossingen voor wereldproblemen tijdens de Enactus National Exposition. Onze voorzitter Henk mocht als jurylid ervaren hoeveel daadkracht en innovatiekracht er leeft onder jonge impactmakers. In de top drie prijkten twee projecten met stevige wortels in Utrecht: Cirticulture Systems en Toekies.
